About

Laura Miracle is an artist, designer, and sculptor working in Chicago.

Laura’s permanent outdoor sculptures have been commissioned by the Forest Preserves of Cook County and the Chicago Public Art Group. Her work has been displayed at the Oak Park Sculpture Walk, Riverside Art Center, and the Deerfield Public Art Program. She has created numerous temporary outdoor art installations for Opera-matic, Chicago Park District, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Redmoon Theater.

Laura is inspired by the natural world: its textures, its densities, its weights, and its surfaces. She loves working outdoors, and her favorite sewing machine is the 201-2.

Laura has an MFA from Miami University and teaches at Columbia College.

Miracle Works is Laura’s fabrication business, located in Humboldt Park.
